Every few weeks we try to have a "simple Shabbat" (i.e. no company for any of the meals and sticking to basic menus like this one) so that we can have time for other things on Thursday night and Friday.Mrs. S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14649082640953110457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20092279.post-34265166060320395622008-11-22T22:01:00.000+02:002008-11-22T22:01:00.000+02:00Nice. Hence this week we had a great stir fry instead, which really doesn't take long. Because it spends so much time on the platta, we cook it before as little as possible, and throw most of the vegies in large pieces.
Most of my time on Fridays is actually not spent cooking. Rather doing siddurim... including waking up late at 6 or 7 instead of my usual 5:15. In the winter time this isn't so helpful, but somehow cannot break out of it.Bethamihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12568587015037601942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20092279.post-43395078721734939492008-11-21T18:50:00.000+02:002008-11-21T18:50:00.000+02:00Awesome menu for a good, basic Shabbos. Plus, if I make a good amount, they are good for sandwiches during the week.

As an aside, I like how you are SITTING at the table to chop the veg - a great technique when I have been on modified or partial bedrest, rather than my usual hunched over at the kitchen counter chopping spot.

Enjoy the next couple of days together!RaggedyMomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01022064984702182705noreply@blogger.com
