It's All in Your Head - Twice the Suffering, None of the Relief

Some of you know that I've been sick for the last 2.5 months or so. Some of you might even care.

I have fibromyalgia, so it gets the blame for pain and exhaustion long before a doctor will even order so much as a regular blood count. Finally, though, the levels of pain and exhaustion exceeded what my doctor could write off, so I got a whole bunch of blood tests run, and while some of them are off, there's nothing with a big arrow saying "big disease here" so I'm still without a diagnosis, which means that some people (doctors included) are saying "It's all in your head," so not only do they have no relief to offer me, they can also make me feel guilty for my pain, my exhaustion, and the fact that I'm not up to speed.

Ah the sheer joy of it all.

Oh, dear, that is supposedly an awful illness. I've watched others suffer.

One friend found some relief in a homeopathic remedy.

Good luck. Feel good.

Coincidentally, the word verification is "stings".

Hope it gets a working treatment, as well as the blame, and soon.
I'm not usually such a naturalist, but bring on the homeopathy, osteopathy, Chinese medicine, hypnotism. All at once. In addition to the meds. Whatever works.

Feel better!!

Tried acupuncture. It seemed to make it much worse. Since then, I'm a bit scared to mess with alternative treatments.

I think having the kids out of the house will reduce your stress level and that can be a first step toward recovery... or maybe I think that because my rheumatologist said that fibro attacks are often a result of internalized depression / stress.

Kids out of the house can help anything. Maybe not totally, but a bit I hope.
Also:
1) Clicking your heels and whispering "There's no place like home" 3x. You MUST have new sparkly red shoes for this to work.(Sometimes just the sparkly new red shoes does the trick on its own).
2) Thinking happy thoughts, and a bit of fairy dust. You might find some behind our couch.

I hadn't visited your blog in a long time, so I had no idea. I am so sorry to hear that you are ill. I actually have a friend who has fibromylagia, and it's not easy (she has 3 young children).
I wish you a Refuah Shelemah: care for yourself, and treat yourself with love...
