tough diet. Is it the same thing every day with almost no starch?
common wisdom is that starches are the devil's food (cake), and that avoiding them is the best way to lose weight. There's carbohydrates in vegetables, and we don't need all the pasta, rice, starch to survive.
I've heard it does lead to rapid weight loss but that it can be dangerous to cut out all carbs long-term.
I haven't cut them completely and anyway, like I said, veggies have carbohydrates in them too.
Leah, good luck to you. I also tend to stay away from carbs when I am motivated. I can tell you from experience that if your motivation ever goes away, you will gain the weight (or some of it) back. The one thing that I try to change in my head is that "this" is not a diet. It's a lifestyle change, and it's going to stay. I haven't read all of your posts but I wonder if you have seen a dietitian? I find it to be helpful so that you can get an idea of what and how much to eat, and when to eat it. Out of curiosity: what is a fireball? -yaffa
